The port town of Keelung in northern Taiwan is the island's largest and most internationally renowned harbor. At the hidden gem of Shenao Cape in Keelung, you can find unique rock formations, including elephant-shaped rocks. On clear days, you can enjoy stunning nighttime views of Jiufen from this vantage point.
You can see a variety of unique rock formations that have developed over many years:
Elephant Nose Rock: A popular photo spot in Ruifang District. Note: The naturally formed elephant-shaped rock has unfortunately had its trunk broken and cannot be repaired. Please be aware of this.
Chief Rock: A cape that resembles the profile of an aboriginal chief.
Stone Candlestick: A series of conical rocks with a looped groove resembling a chandelier.
Mushroom Rock: Also known as "fungus-shaped rock," this formation can be seen here as well as at Yehliu Geopark.
